Grand Hotel
One of the most monumental buildings, definitely on the map of Gdańsk & Sopot City Race 2023 is Grand Hotel.
The hotel was originally built in 1924–1927 at a cost of 20 million Danzig gulden as the most refined hotel in Sopot – the Kasino Hotel.
Hotel was a strategic place during II World War
As Sopot Pier, Grand Hotel was many times shown in films and series
Among famous guests staying at the hotel were: Josephine Baker, Czesław Miłosz, Annie Lennox and Shakira
We will make sure you see Grand Hotel during the race, as it’s located in the city centre, right next to Sopot Pier
Sopot Pier
Sopot Pier is one of the most picturesque sites in Sopot – it’s located in the heart of Sopot and yes, we will see it during our main stage of Gdańsk & Sopot City Race this year!
First opened in 1827, then rebuilt and lengthened up to 511.5 meters – it is the longest wooden pier in Europe! For a brief moment in 1920s Sopot pier was a seaplanes dock. Also, many were directed here!
We already told you about unique climate in Sopot, you should know that Sopot Pier is a famous recreational venue and a place for great „health walks” – iodine in the air at the tip of pier is twice high as on the land! Will it boost your running results? It’s definitely worth a try!

We are proud to announce that we will organize next year’s city race event in Sopot and Gdańsk. Main stage in Sopot (long distance) will be a part of City Race Euro Tour!
That would be fun – Sopot is a wonderful small city, right next to Gdańsk. Seaside, sandy beaches, promenades, villas – that will be an outstanding weekend!
